Be part of a growing and prospering company as an HR/Facilities Coordinator for our Madison, WI office. Auxiant is a third party administrator of self-funded employee benefit plans with offices in Cedar Rapids, IA, Madison and Milwaukee, WI. Job Summary:

Works closely with the HR Manager to provide professional HR support to the company/management team from the HR perspective. Implements and coordinates policies and programs covering the organization’s HR systems with effective planning and results. Provides data and recommendations to successfully integrate HR functions and supports employees and supervisors.

Essential Functions:

  • Application of effective human resources policies throughout the company to achieve consistency and clear expectations for employees and effective policy administration for the company.
  • Manages facilities/building coordination with landlords and acts as the primary HR point of contact for managers, supervisors and staff in the Madison and Milwaukee offices.
  • Manages onboarding of all new hires and processes terminations for the Madison and Milwaukee locations.
  • Provides guidance for all benefit programs including health and safety programs including administration of worker’s compensation, OSHA/Safety administration and related posting/recordkeeping functions.

· Assists with the development of training to ensure supervisors/employees receive professional continuing education to build and maintain a consistent OneAuxiant experience.

· Assists with recruitment process – posting job openings, documenting and forwarding candidates to appropriate departments.

  • Assists in all aspects of HRIS management
  • Assists with benefit administration
  • Assists with activities and wellness committees
  • Acts as an administrative expert for employment and recordkeeping functions such as employee files, I-9s, hiring documentation, terminations, promotions, transfers, processing payroll data, performance reviews and general personnel information.
  • Together with the HR Manager, manages effective information flow between HR and all departments and keeps accurate personnel records in compliance with federal/state regulations.
  • Scan, email, file and perform other clerical functions

Education/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an HR related role
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
  • Ability to work independently with or without supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Travel Requirements:

2-4 days per month in Milwaukee; 1-2 per month in Cedar Rapids.
