The Auxiant Compliance and Legal Department monitors laws and regulations pertaining to employee benefits and keeps our client abreast of developments. We also perform compliance reviews, write and amend plan documents, and ensure the benefit plans that Auxiant manages are consistent with current ERISA, HIPAA & State regulations. Our Legal Department reviews appeals brought about by participants of the benefit plans.
Financial & Actuarial Services
Maintaining proper funding levels is essential for the long-term success of the health plan. Our finance and actuarial department reviews claims data, and monitors trends in the industry. We forecast the affects that plan design changes would have on costs, and funding requirements. Additionally, this department works closely with the underwriters and carriers of the plan to ensure sound underwriting practices are being followed.
Cobra, Flexible Benefits & Short Term Disability
Our COBRA department keeps Auxiant clients informed of developing COBRA laws and provides guidance to ensure that proper procedures are in place and are being followed. This department provides consultation pertaining to section 125 plan operations.
Administration - Operations
Auxiant's Operations Department ensures that Auxiant clients have the proper procedures in place for adjudication of claims. This division is responsible for medical necessity review, subrogation activity, monitoring eligibility and ensuring claims are being paid consistent with the language of the governing plan documents. The Operations Department performs audits on claims payment accuracy, PPO repricing performance, turn-around times as well as special projects as needed.
